Supporting children to develop the skills and confidence needed to participate in everyday activities. We implement neuroaffirming play-based interventions tailored to each individual’s needs.
Areas of support include:
Gross motor skills (running, jumping, ball skills, skipping, climbing etc)
Fine motor skills (buttoning clothes, typing, using cutlery, drawing etc)
Muscle strength and endurance (difficulty sitting at a desk, fatigues quickly, fatigues with handwriting compared to peers)
Posture, hypotonia (low muscle tone), hypertonia (high muscle tone)
Flat feet, leg length discrepancy, knocked or bowed legs causing pain or affecting gait (walking)
Hypermobility
Pain concerns e.g. growing pains, foot and back pain
Motor planning: clumsiness/coordination concerns
Problems with steps or stairs (including reluctance)
Balance – trips and falls quite frequently
Body awareness – difficulty copying movements, always injuring themselves
Asymmetrical movement, difficulty crossing midline
Toe walking
Primitive reflex integration
Services can be provided at home, school, childcare or within the community.
